Debate Miladunnabi on Kharizi Forum : Kharizis Lied & Digressed But Finally Admit Its Permissibility

By:  Maulana Muhammad A. K. Azad [ Abu Arif Al Alawi ]

This debate was held between Kharizis and Maulana  Abul Kalam Azad on a forum named “Islam for Humanity (http://www.facebook.com/groups/2213564932/?ref=ts&fref=ts)  run by the Kharizis. It commenced on 20th January, 2012 and continued for a few days. Throughout the debate Kharizis went on digressing.  They even lied that "The celebration of Mawlid or his birthday is indeed an addition to what he ( Prophet PBUH) brought – as all the scholars agree" . Finally having kissed defeat in the debate, the extremists banned  Md. Abul Kalam Azad  from the forum but Alhamdulillah!  Truth came out from their mouth and they admitted the permissibility of Eid Miladunnabi, although very reluctantly. The entire debate is provided below. As it’s a long debate, dear readers are entreated to go through the debate patiently and carefully :

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad ( Sunni):      Challenge to Extremists who call Miladunnabi Shirk & Bidah !!!! Only Shaytan and his followers do not rejoice at the Birth of The Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam. Hafidh Ibn Kathir , Most Favourite Tafsir-Scholar of Salafis, writes:
أن إبليس رن أربع رنات حين لعن وحين أهبط وحين ولد رسول الله صلى الله
عليهوسلم وحين أنزلت الفاتحة

Translation: Iblis cried loudly four times, first when Allah declared himas cursed, second when he was thrown out, Third When Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) was born and fourth when Surah al-Fatiha was revealed

Muhammad Ali Rifai (Kharizi):  Assalam-o-Alaikum. on Thursday, at 6:18 pm you posted the above statement in this same group & never provided any proof for celebrating the Eid Melaad ul Nabi PBUH. Do you feel that by re posting it again will prove its authenticity? We are your muslim brothers, please show us its authenticity, so we wouldn't miss this important Sunnah.

Muhammad Khan (Kharizi): Praise be to Allaah. There is nothing in the Qur’aan to say that we should celebrate the Mawlid or birthday of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). The Prophet himself (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did not do this or command anyone to do it, either during his lifetime or after his death. Indeed, he told them not to exaggerate about him as the Christians had exaggerated about Jesus (upon whom be peace). He said: “Do not exaggerate about me as the Christians exaggerated about the son of Maryam. I am only a slave, so say, ‘The slave of Allaah and His Messenger.’” (Reported by al-Bukhaari). What has been reported is that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) made the day of his birth a day of worship, which is different to celebration. He was asked about fasting on Mondays, and he said: “That is the day on which I was born and the day on which I was entrusted with the Mission or when I was first given Revelation.” (Reported by Muslim, al-Nisaa’i and Abu Dawood).

Moreover, we know that the Sahaabah (may Allaah be pleased with them) were the people who loved the Prophet most. Was it reported that Abu Bakr, who was the closest of people to him and the one who loved him the most, celebrated the birthday of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)? Was it reported that ‘Umar, who ruled for twelve years, or ‘Uthmaan, did this? Was it reported that ‘Ali, his relative and foster son, did this? Was it reported that any of the Sahaabah did this? No, by Allaah! Is it because they were not aware of its importance, or did they not truly love the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)? No one would say such a thing except one who has gone astray and is leading others astray.

Did any of the imaams – Abu Haneefah, Maalik, al-Shaafi’i, Ahmad, al-Hasan al-Basri, Ibn Seereen – do this or command others to do it or say that it was good? By Allaah, no! It was not even mentioned during the first and best three centuries. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said in a saheeh hadeeth: “The best of mankind are my generation (or my century), then those who come after them, then those who come after them. Then there will come a people who will not care if their testimony comes before their oath or vice versa (i.e., they will not take such matter seriously).” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, Muslim and al-Tirmidhi). The celebration of the Prophet’s birthday appeared many centuries later, when many of the features of true religion had vanished and bid’ah had become widespread.

Thus this celebration became a sign of one’s love for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)? But can it be possible that the Sahaabah, the imaams and the people of the best three centuries were unaware of it, and it was only those who came later who were aware of its importance?! What the Qur’aan tells us is that love of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is demonstrated by following the guidance he brought. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Say (O Muhammad): ‘If you (really) love Allaah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allaah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.  Say: ‘Obey Allaah and the Messenger.’ But if they turn away, then Allaah does not like the disbelievers.” [Aal ‘Imraan 3:31-32]

The first aayah explains that love is just a claim, but the proof of sincerity is following what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) brought. The second aayah reaffirms the importance and necessity of obeying Allaah and His Messenger. Hence Allaah ended the aayah with a very stern warning in which those who refuse to obey are described as kaafirs, and Allah does not love the disbelievers. We ask Allaah to keep us safe from that. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told us of the danger of not obeying him, and the danger of adding to what he brought. The celebration of Mawlid or his birthday is indeed an addition to what he brought – as all the scholars agree. He said: “The best of speech is the Book of Allaah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad. The most evil of things are those which are newly-invented (in religion), and every innovation is a going astray.” (Reported by Muslim and al-Nisaa’i).

We ask Allaah to protect us from bid’ah and to bless us by helping us to follow. Allaah knows best. May Allaah bless our Prophet Muhammad.

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad ( Sunni): Salafi Brothers ! Look at my post carefully. I challenged and am still challenging those who call Miadunnabi Shirk and Bidah. The standpoint of Ahle Sunnat Wa Zama't is very clear-cut. According to Ahle Sunnah Wa zama't, observing Miladunnabi is commendable act. It's neither Fard nor Wazib. None calls it mandatory. But if somebody calls it Shirk or Bidah, it's extremism, fitna and grave sin. There is consensus among Muslim Ummah aabout Miladunnabi being commendable. None but a Kharizi call it Shirk or Bidah. Please brothers, don't spread fitna among the Muslims by just saying shirk or bbidah like a nincompoop. Yes, if you have the ability to prove it shirk or bidah, you are most welcome. So far, you have presented four logics:

          1. Celebrating Birthday is pagan Culture ( Sajed Munir).
          2. This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your way of life. QURAN SURAH MAIDAH VERSE 3 ( Sajed Munir).
         3. Sahabas and Imams did not do it. (Muhammad Khan )
         4. The celebration of Mawlid or his birthday is indeed an addition to what he brought – as all the scholars agree.(Muhammad Khan ).

I expect more logics from you and InshaAllah, I'll crush all of your arguments one by one. But brothers , Don't Lie ! you say ( Mohammad Khan ) that, to quote : "The celebration of Mawlid or his birthday is indeed aan addition to what he brought – as all the scholars agree". Brother! If you are true to your words, please provide reference. You say, " all the scholars agree" that ""The celebration of Mawlid or his birthday is indeed an addition to what he brought ". Please name the Scholars and provide their viewpoints with exact reference. Remember brother !The Prophet also said, "The Believer is created familiarized with everything except treachery and lying.” (Ahmad and Al-Baihaqi)

Shakil Ahmed (Kharizi):  I  think there is no point argueing on the said subject coz now Maulana Azad agreed on one aspect is its neither Farz nor Wajib , and thats my point , whoever does it its his faith and way of doing it , to me its equally important to be on the safer side than being driven into something which may prove to be unfortunate on the day of Judgement. Crushing all the arguments sound little sad to me dear Maulana.

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad ( Sunni): Kharizi extremism is the biggest threat for Muslim Ummah today. If you don't celebrate Miladunnabi, it's your personal matter. But if you impose the fatwa of Shirk and Bidah, it's fitna. And Why are adopting help of lies to defend your stand? I repeat. Mohammad Khan says : "The celebration of Mawlid or his birthday is indeed an addition to what he brought – as all the scholars agree". Why are you lying??????? You have to clarify it. If it's not lie , provide evidence with authentic reference and if it's lie, make tawba and return to the mainstream Islam. Shakil Ahmed says, " to me its equally important to be on the safer side ". How can you understand your's is the safer side? ??? Almost all the scholars of Muslim Ummah have deemed it permissible and commendable but you consider their stand as "something which may prove to be unfortunate on the day of Judgement." !!!! Brother! Allah Almighty has ordered us : اِهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِیْمَۙ۝۵ صِرَاطَ الَّذِیْنَ اَنْعَمْتَ عَلَیْهِمْ١ۙ۬ۦ Guide us in the straight pathThe path of those whom You have favoured{ Al Quran 1:5-6} . By the way, I demand evidence that "The celebration of Mawlid or his birthday is indeed an addition to what he ( Prophet PBUH) brought – as all the scholars agree". Allah says, "O you who believe! keep your duty to Allah and speak straight, true words." (Holy Quran 33:70) .

May ALLAH guide us Moulana .

Muhammad Ali Rifai (Kharizi): Maulana Abul Kalam Azad: Why are you asking others to provide logic, the burden of proof lies with you as you have claimed that this act is permissible in islam, i asked you before but you never answered it (8:16 pm, Tuesday) that is there a "single" proof from Sunnah, Sahaba's conduct, Imam's conduct??? In the life of Hazrat Muhammad PBUH, 12 rabi ul awal came 23 times, In Hazrat Abu Bakar's RA life, it came 2 times, in Hazrat Umar's RA life, 11 times, in Hazrat Usman's life, 12 times, in Hazrat Ali RA life it came 5 times, In all 4 imam's lives, it came more than 50 times, either (Naoozbillah) they misunderstood it or you are special & have a better understanding of this matter than them. You in your post are directly targeting Hazrat Muhammad PBUH himself, Sahaba RA, Imam's RA by stating that "Only Shaytan and his followers do not rejoice at the Birth of The Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam". For Allah's sake think before stating something like that. I am nobody, you can abuse me as much as you like but plz spare them. This is the real problem with inventing something new that you can never authenticate its existence or origin from Quran, Sunnah, & Sahaba. while proving it right you are actually implying that you have better understanding than them. About Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal jamaat, is their stand point is more important to you than Quran, Sunnah, Sahaba, & Imam??? if your answer is yes than i believe i've nothing to say from this point onward.

Muhammad Ali Rifai (Kharizi): Ibn Mas'ood reported that Allaah's Messenger said, "I will lead you to the pond (in paradise), and some men will tremble and fall away from me. I will call out, 'O Lord, they are my followers!' So it will be said, 'You do not know what they invented after your passing.' Collected by al-Bukhaaree (English trans. 8/378-9/578), and Muslim (English trans. 4/1238/5690). Some would say that we are doing a good deed i.e., reading Darood, Naats, quoting Hadith, Nafal prayers, etc. Tell me this, Ramadan only comes once in an year, can we start celebrating ramadan twice in an year? it would be nice to perform all the good deeds which we do in ramadan twice in an year because we'll have more swaab & blessings from Allah? your answer will be no. same is the case with starting praying Juma twice a week. We can't make something new a part of Deen unless its permissible by Quran, Sunnah, & Shabas RA. This is the criteria told to us by islam, we are not allowed to follow any person or jamaat (Ahl-e-Sunnat wal jamat, deoband, etc).

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad ( Sunni):    Salafi Brothers ! One point is eye-opening. You have failed miserably to prove your claim that “"all scholars agreed that "The celebration of Mawlid or his birthday is indeed an addition to what he ( Prophet PBUH) brought "!!!!!!!! ( written by Muhammad Khan on 21.01.12 at 4.15 a.m. in this discussion). It’s a white lie and Salafis confuse and mislead simple-minded Muslims by these sort of lies. I request all truth-seeking Muslim brothers to take notice of it and ponder a bit whether a pious Muslim can use lies to establish his standpoint or not. If not , and certainly not, please desert the standpoint of liars. The Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa sallam said, " Beware of telling lies, for lying leads to immorality and immorality leads to Hellfire. A man will keep telling lies and striving to tell lies until he is recorded with Allah as a liar.” (Muslim).

As per my promise, I am presenting below the evidences in support of Miladunnabi and appeal to the truth-seeking Muslim brothers to make positive response. O Allah, help me in my writing to establish truth!

Praise be to Allah, Lord of all the worlds, and Peace and Blessings upon His Prophet and Messenger Muhammad, his family and all his companions. We are living in a time when the enemies of Islam are destroying the unity of Umma by taking great pains to find anything that their scholars might consider doubtful as an excuse to deride and denigrate the faith of Muslims, calling them names like: mushrik, kafir, mubtadi`. And they have nothing better to do than to change what Muslim scholars have accepted as correct for centuries after centuries, and to call it bid`a, shirk, and kufr!

To celebrate the Prophet's birthday is to celebrate Islam, because the Prophet is the symbol of Islam. it is important that one understands what the Mawlid actually is. celebrating the Mawlid simply means to thank Allah for sending his most beloved to this world. Mawlid gatherings are an effective and efficient means for the purpose of calling people to Islam and educate children, that these meetings give a golden opportunity that must not be lost, for every scholar and da`i to teach and remind the Nation of the Prophet of his good character, his way of worshipping, and his way of treating people.

Salafi Brothers ! You say that Miladunnabi celebration is haram because The Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa sallam, His Sahabas and the great Imams did not celebrate it. Alhamduillah, Miladunnabi celebration has its origin in The Holy Quran and The holy Hadith. But let me affirm that If the Salafi extremist yardstick is adopted , almost everything of the present Islamic environment is bound to be proved Bidah, Shirk and Haram. Even Salafi themselves and their Imams will be proved Bidati and Mushrik.

The usul of Shariah is that the illegality of an item can only be ascertained from revelation and not from ones own desires. Everything is mubah unless it contradicts Quran and Hadith. In shari`a, nothing is declared haram except if the scholars are unanimous that the Qur'an and sunna declare it so, whether explicitly or allusively. 'Ibn Abbaas narrates that in the Jahiliyya people used to eat certain things but refrain from other things because they considered them bad, so Allah sent His messenger and revealed the Qur'an to His Prophet. He made halal what was halal and made haram what was haram. Thus, whatever He has made halal is halal and whatever He made haram is haram and that upon which he remained silent is exempt. He then recited the verse, "Say, I find no food items unlawful except the carcass, flowing blood, swine and that animal which has been slaughtered with the name of anyone other than Allah.” [ Ref: 2nd volume of Abu Dawud Sharif, page 183]. Opponent of Ahle Sunnah Scholar Ahmad Hasan Sahib Dehlvi writes on page 201 , "All the narrators of this hadith are Thiqa. Muhaddith ibn Mardwiya and Imam Haakim have also quoted this hadith. Imam Haakim ranks this hadith as Sahih." Salafi scholar Shams-ul Haq Azeemabaadi writes, "In this hadith is a warning, the illegality of an item can only be ascertained from revelation and not from ones own desires. This hadith is also proof that everything in its reality is permissible." (Aon ul Mabood Sharh Abu Dawud vol3 p417).

Most noted Indian Salafi Scholar Nawa Siddique hasan khan Bhupali also admits that “ Bidah is that action by which a Sunnah is annulled. The bdah which does not lead to deletion of a Sunnah is not a Bidah, in reality it is Mubah.” [Ref: Hidayatul Mehdi Page 117.] Imam Shafie writes: ““Innovated matters in religion are of two kinds: 1) Whatever is innovated and is contradicts the Book, or the Sunnah, or a narration, or Ijma‘ (consensus) – then this is an innovation of misguidance. 2) Whatever is innovated of good and that does not contradict any of these – then this is a novelty which is not blameworthy.” [ Ref: Narrated from al-Rabî` by al-Bayhaqî in his Madkhal and Manâqib al-Shâfi`î (1:469) with a sound chain as stated by Ibn Taymiyya in his Dâr' Ta`ârud. al-`Aql wa al-Naql (p. 171)] Imam Abu Hanifa (Rah) , Founder of Hanafi Madhab and a Tabe'e says that “ …..its a proof from people of knowledge that Whoever invents a Bad action in Islam he will get sin for himself and whoever follows him, And whoever invents a Good Biddat in islam he will get Reward for himself and all who follow him in that practice .” [ Imam Ibn e Hajar Asqalani (Rah) in Zubda-tul-Fakr ]. Imam Ibn e Hajar Asqalani(rah), Most favourite hadith Scholar of Mr. Zakir Naik, said: “The root meaning of innovation is what is produced without precedent. It is applied in the law in opposition to the Sunna and is therefore blameworthy. Strictly speaking, if it is part of what is classified as commendable by the law then it is a good innovation (hasana), while if it is part of what is classified as blameworthy by the law then it is blameworthy (mustaqbaha , otherwise it falls in the category of what is permitted indifferently (mubâh). It can be divided into the known five categories.” [Reference Ibn Hajar, Fath. al-Bârî (1959 ed. 5:156-157=1989 ed. 4:318].

So Salafi Brothers! Great Imams never prohibited new good works. They approved it. Imam Al-Hafiz Al-Nawawi said in Vol.6, p.21 in his "Commentary on Sahih Al-Bukhari": What the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) meant when he said "EVERY" or "ALL" innovations, is that it is general but restricted, i.e. that most innovations are "EVIL" but not "ALL". In "Tahdhib Al-Asma wal Lugat" Bid'ah is explained as follows: "Bid'ah in Shari'ah is the invention of that which was not there in the period of the Messenger of Allah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), and it is divided into two categories HASANAH (or good) and QABIHAH (or evil)". Not everything which the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) did not do or his Companions would ultimately make things "HARAM". Since the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) himself said: Jarir bin Abdullah reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: He who introduced some good practice in Islam which was followed after him (by people) he would be assured of reward like one who followed it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who introduced some evil practice in Islam which had been followed subsequently (by others), he would be required to bear the burden like that of one who followed this (evil practice) without their's being diminished in any respect.               Maulana Abul Kalam Azad ( Sunni): Salafi Brothers ! Let me make it clear that though the present form of Miladunnabi celebration was not recorded in first three centuries, it has definitely its origin in The Holy Quran and The Holy Hadith. What happens in Miladunnabi celebration ? Miladunnabi celebration contains rejoicing the birth of The Holy Prophet and doing nafal worships. Alhamdulillah Origins of both are present conspicuously in Quran and Hadith.

Evidence No 1.--- The Prophet emphasized the day of his birth and thanked Allah for the big favor of bringing him to life by fasting on that day as is mentioned in the hadith of Abu Qatada. Abu Qatada Ansari (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah's Massenger (may peace be upon him) was asked about fasting on Monday, whereupon he said: It is (the day) when I was born and revelation was sent down to me.[ Book 006, Number 2606 (Sahih Muslim]. This Hadith is also reported in by Imam Bahayqi in his “Sunnan ul Kubra” (vol. 4, pg. 300 Hadith no 8182, 8259), in the “Sunan” of Imam Nisai and the “Musnad” of Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal. It is clear from this Hadith that the Holy Prophet (saw) was very happy about the day of his birth and so fasted out of gratitude. Fasting is a form of worship, so one can celebrate this day by any form of ibada. One can fast or hold gatherings or provide food to the poor, all being acts of worship. This means that the Prophet was expressing his happiness for that day by fasting, which is a kind of worship. Since the Prophet emphasized that day by fasting, worship in any form to emphasize that day is also acceptable. Even if we change the form, the essence is kept. Therefore, fasting, giving food to the poor, coming together to praise the Prophet, or coming together to remember his good manners and good behavior, all of this is considered a way of emphasizing that day.

Evidence No. 2.-- Narrated 'Ursa; Thuwaiba was the freed slave girl of Abu Lahb whom he had manumitted, and then she suckled the Prophet. When Abu Lahb died, one of his relatives saw him in a dream in a very bad state and asked him, "What have you encountered?" Abu Lahb said, "I have not found any rest since I left you, except that I have been given water to drink in this (the space between his thumb and other fingers) and that is because of my manumitting Thuwaiba." [Volume 7, Book 62, Number 38: (Sahih Bukhari)] . Abu Lahab freed Thuwaiba on joy at birth of Prophet ows happiness at his sallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam birth." [Mukhtasar Sirat al-Rasul, p. 13] Mufti Rahid Ahmed Ludhiyanvi writes : "When the punishment was reduced for a Kafir like Abu Lahab for showing happiness at the birth of the Prophet sallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam, then why will a Muslim not gain elevated ranks if he spends what he can in his love for the Prophet sallAllahu 'alaihi wasallam". [al-Hasan al Nawqi, 1:347] .

Evidence No. 3: Ibn Abbas “Allah be pleased with him” reported: The Prophet “Allah’s blessing and peace be upon him” came to Madina and saw the Jews fasting on the tenth day of Muharram. They were asked about that. They replied: “This is the day, on which Allah made Moses and the children of Israel emerge victorious over Pharoah. So, we fast on it “OUT OF GLORIFICATION TO IT”. The Prophet “Allah’s blessing and peace be upin him” said: “We have more claim over Moses than you.” So, he ordered Muslims to fast on it. [ Ref: Sahih Muslim, Volume 2, Page No. 147, Hadith No. 1130 (Dar ul Kutab al ILmiyyah)] If Jews glorify their days to venerate Musa (a.s) then we Muslims have more right to venerate and rejoice on day when Prophet (saw) was born, this is an accepted analogy as Ulama have derived this specific ruling from the hadith, which shall be mentioned in the last section with detail.

Proof No.4 : Hadrat Anas bin Malik (ra) narrates that Prophet (saw) while mentioning his journey of Miraaj said: Jibril (a.s) asked me to get off from Baraak at Bethlehem and told me to say the prayer there, after which he said: Do you know where you have prayed (O Messenger of Allah)? You prayed at Bethlehem where Isa (a.s) was born. [Sunnan an Nasai’I, Volume 1, Page No. 450, Hadith No. 450] So the Mawlid, the places where Prophets(A.S) are born are amongst Sha’ir (sings to be venerated) of Allah. So here Allah himself says to Rejoice and be happy on such a day , As its Sunnah of friends of Shatan [devil] to cry on such a day.
Proof No.5:   Quran states: Say: "In the bounty of God. And in His Mercy, in that "LET THEM REJOICE" : that is better than the (wealth) they hoard (10:58) .Some might think with their wildest of imaginations that birth and sending of Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) is not a mercy, some even falsely limit the Mercies of Allah by saying mercy mentioned here does not refer to Prophet Muhammad (salallaho alaihi wasalam) thus we should not rejoice, for best answers we have to understand through Tafsir from Quran itself . Quran states at another place: We have not sent you but as a “Mercy to the worlds” (21:107) Hence without any shadow of doubt arrival of Prophet (saw) is mercy not only upon us but all worlds and creations of Allah and thus we should rejoice as told in 10:58. Imam Ibn Jawzi (rah) explains 10:58 in his Tafsir: Translation: Dhahak narrated from Ibn Abbas (ra) that Bounty means Knowledge (i.e of Quran and Tawhid)whereas Mercy means Muhammad (Salallaho alaihi wasalam) [Ibn Jawzi Z'ad al Maseer fi Ilm at Tafsir, 4:40] Imam Abu Hayyan al Andalusi (Rahimuhullah) also says: Translation: Bounty refers to Knowledge whereas Mercy refers to Muhammad (salallaho alaihi wasalam)[Tafsir Al-Bahr al Muheet, 5:171] Imam Jalal uddin Suyuti (Rahimuhullah) says : Abu Sheikh (rah) narrated from Ibn Abbas (RA) That Bounty of Allah means Knowledge, whereas Mercy means Muhammad (Salallaho alaihi wasalam)Allah Ta'ala said: We have sent thee not but as Mercy to Worlds (Al Anbiya: 107) [As-Suyuti in Dur al Manthur 4:330] Allama Aloosi (rah) explains that even Fadhl (i.e. bounty) refers to Prophet Muhammad (salallaho alaihi wassalam): Narrated by Al Khatib (rah) and Ibn Asakir (rah) that Bountry refers to An-Nabi (Alaih Salatu Wassalam)[Al-Alusi in Ruh al Ma’ani 11:141]
Proof No. 6: Quran states regarding Yahya (a.s): “So Peace on him the day he was born, the day that he dies, and the day that he will be raised up to life (again)!” (19:15) So the days when Anbiya are born are days of Salam in sight of Allah.”

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad ( Sunni):    And who says , Sahabas did not rejoice and discuss the birth of The Holy Prophet ??????? ..

Shaykh al-Islam Imam Shahabuddin Ahmad Ibn Hajar al-Haytami al-Makki al-Shafi'i (radi Allahu anhu) in his distinguished book "An Ne'matul Kubra" quotes the blessed sayings of the Khulafa-e-Raashideen concerning Mawlad Shareef. Few of these narrations are being quoted below:

Hadrat Syyeduna Abu Bakr as-Siddique (radi Allahu anhu) says,

قال أبو بكر الصديق رضي الله عنه من أنفق درهما على قراءة مولد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان رفيقي في الجنة

“Which ever person spends one dirham on the birthday of the Holy Prophet (SallAllaho Alaihi Wa Sallam), He will be with me in Jannah.”..

Hadrat Sayyeduna 'Umar al-Farooq (radi Allahu anhu) says,

قال عمر رضي الله عنه من عظم مولد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقد أحيا الإسلام
“Whosoever has respected the Mawlad Shareef of the Holy Prophet (SallAllaho Alaihi Wa Sallam) it is as though he has revived the Deen.”..

Hadrat Sayyeduna Uthman (radi Allahu anhu) says,

قال عثمان رضي الله عنه من أنفق درهما على قراءة مولد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فكأنما شهد غزوة بدر وحنين
"Whosoever has spent one dirham on the Birthday of the Holy Prophet (SallAllaho Alaihi Wa Sallam), it is as though He was present in Ghazwa-e-Badr and Hunain.".....

Hadrat Sayyiduna Ali al-MurtaDa (radi Allahu anhu) says,

قال علي رضي الله عنه وكرم الله وجهه من عظم مولد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وكان سببا لقراءته لا يخرج من الدنيا إلا بالإيمان ويدخل الجنة بغير حساب
“Whoso ever respects the Mawlid Sharif and is a means of motivating a Milad function, He will take from this world the gift of Imaan and He will enter Jannah without any questioning.”

What Does other SAHABA-E-KIRAM Believe? ::

After gaining victory and success in Ghazwa Tabook when Rasoolullah (Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam) arrived in Madinatul Munawwara, Hadrat Sayyiduna Abbas (radi Allahu anhu) requested permission of the Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam) to read a few stanzas in his praise then Rahmate Alam (Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam) said, " My dear Uncle! Go ahead. May Almighty Allah keep your mouth well."
 ..
This is what al-`Abbas ibn `Abd al-Muttalib said:

... Before you came to this world,
you were excellent in the shadows and in the repository (i.e. loins)
in the time when they (Adam and Eve) covered themselves with leaves.
Then you descended through the ages...
When you were born, the earth shone
and your light illuminated the horizon.
We travel in that illumination and in the light and in the paths of right guidance...”

Mullah Ali al-Qari in his ‘Sharh al-Shifa’ (1:364) says it is related by Abu Bakr al-Shafi`i and Tabarani, and cited by Ibn `Abd al-Barr and Ibn al-Qayyim respectively in ‘al-Isti`ab’ and ‘Huda Nabiyy Allah (Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam)’.

Hadrat Sayyeduna Hasan Basri (radi Allahu anhu) said,

قال حسن البصري رضي الله تعالی عنه وددت لو کان لی مثل جبل احد ذھبا فانفقته علی قراءة مولد النبي صلی الله علیه وسلم

"I would like have gold equivalent to the Mountain of Uhud so that I should be able to spend it on the Milad Shareef of the Holy Prophet (SallAllaho Alaihi Wa Sallam)."

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad ( Sunni):  Izma of Hanafi, Shafie, Maliki and Hanbali Scholars :
Hazrat Maulana Shah Abdul Haq Dehlvi

 1. After relating Abu Lahab’s relief on setting Thuwaibha free, Hazrat Maulana Shah Abdul Haq Dehlvi in his famous book Madarijun Nabuwwat says: "This event provides a clear proof to those who celebrate Meelaad Shareef by rejoicing and alms giving on the night of the birth of the holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam), People of Makkah gather on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal to is it the house in which the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) only because he was his nephew, he has been receiving, in spite of this being an idolater, the benefits of thus rejoicing in his grave every Monday, then how much more blessing will fall to the lot of him who acknowledges the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) as the beloved of ALLAH and His true Prophet, and celebrates Meelaad Shareef repeatedly.”

As the poet says:  Dostaan Ra Kujaa Kunee Mahroom
Tu Keh Ba Dushmanaan Nazar Daree

How would you (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) leave out friends?
You, who feel great compassion, even for your enemies."

                Imaam Qastalaani

 2. Due to the rejoicing he made at the birth of the holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) imam qastalaani says:

"How would anyone of the Ummah the holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) fare, who is a Muslim and is steadfast in his belief in the unity of Allah and rejoices at his (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) birth and who spends whatever he can afford for the love of him (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam)? I swear by my life, that Allah, out of His Grace, will not reward such a person but by entering him into the Gardens of Bliss.” (Mawaahib-dunniyah by Imam Qastalani, Vol1, Page 27, Published in Egypt)

 3. Imaam Qastalaani says: "May ALLAH bless a person who celebrates ‘Eid’ on the nights of the blessed month of the holy birth of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam), so that it hurts them the most who have a serious disease in their hearts and who suffer from an incurable ailment on account of the blessed birth".,. (Mawaahib-dunniyah by Imam Qastalani, Vol1, Page 27, Published in Egypt)

 4. Imaam Qastalaani further says that How blessed is the month in which the Prophet of ALLAH (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) was born! How very superior and sacred! How very respected the nights (of the month) as though they are pearls shining bright throughout the ages! How full of light and pure the face of the one born! How blessed the Being (ALLAH) who made the birth of the holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) a springtime for the hearts and his (Sallal Laahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) face a manifestation of splendor!., ,

Yaqoolu Lanaa-Lisaanul Haali Minhu. The tongue of the Prophet of ALLAH (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) Speaks the truth. And the thing is that the voice of truth appears to be sweet to the listener

Wa Qaulul Haqqi Ya'zabu Lis Samee'ee And, O questioner! If you want to know about my attributes and my affairs, I would say this:

Fawajhi Waz-Zamaanu Wa sharu Wad'ee.  My face and my age and the month of my birth is springtime in the month of Rabee-ul-Awwal.

Rabee'un Fi Rabee 'in Fi Rabee'ee . He (Sallal Laahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) has likened his blessed face to springtime in respect of blessed beauty and splendor and that his face blossomed in springtime in the month of Rabee-ul-Awwal.

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad ( Sunni):  Izma of Hanafi, Shafie, Maliki & Hanbali Scholars : Ibne Jauzi views has devoted a whole book to Meelaad, which is called "Maulad-ul-Uroos". Allamah Ibne Jauzi says:

"And whosoever rejoices at the birth of our beloved Mustafa (Sallal Laahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam), this rejoicing by him will turn the Fire away, and whosoever spends even a dirham on the occasion of the Meelaad of the Prophet of ALLAH (Sallal Laahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) he (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) will intercede on his behalf and his intercession will be accepted" (Meelad-ul-Uroos, Page 9)

 7.   And, Ibne Jauzi has also written: "O Meelaad of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam)! You are mightily praised, and the praise is such that it is the loftiest and the remembrance is such that it is the most excellent; how I wish the remembrance of the holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) shall be with me for a long time! How I wish his (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) Meelaad shall be with me for a long time!”.. (Meeladul Uroos, Page 28)

 Shah Waliyullah Dehlvi

 8. In this regard, Hazrat shah Waliullah [rah] says:  "Following the ancient practice, I recited the Holy Qur'aan and distributed the things (food etc.) Of the Niyaaz (Faatihah) of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) and made a public display of his blessed heir (Moo'e Muboarak). While reciting (the Holy Qur'aan), Mala'i A'la (Angels nearest to ALLAH) came to attend the Mahfil-e-Meelaad and the blessed soul of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) showed much kindness to me (Shah Waliyul Laah) and my friends. I, thus, saw that Mala'i A 'la (Angels nearest to ALLAH) and, with them, the whole group of Musalmaans, were ascending to high heaven (on account of the blessings of the Prophet) and this blessed condition was reflected (in the Mahfil-e-Meelaad)." (Al Qaul al-Jalee, Page 74)

 9. Hazrat Shah Abdul Haq Muhaddis Dehlvi (may Allah have mercy on him), in his book "Ma Sabata Minas Sunnah" referring to the night of the blessed birth, of the holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) says:

"We would rather say that the night when the holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) was born is definitely superior to Lailat-ul-Qadr. This is so because the night of the birth is the night when he was manifested and Lailat -ul Qadr was bestowed on him (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam), and a thing which became blessed on account of him upon whom it was bestowed is more blessed than that which became blessed because of it being conferred upon him (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) and because Lailat-ul-Qadr is blessed because on this night Angels descend, and the night of the birth of the holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) is blessed because of himself (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam), and because Lailat-ul-Qadr is a blessing only for the Ummah of Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) and the night of his blessed birth is a blessing for all beings. Thus the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) is he who ALLAH Ta'Aala sent down as a mercy to all the worlds and it is through him that ALLAH completed His blessings on all His creations in all heavens and in all earth."... (Ma Sabata Min as-Sunnah, Page 82, Published by Qaiyyumi Press, Kanpur, August 1923)

          10. Those calling themselves followers of Shah Waliyyullah's family should also note the following statement of Hazrat Shah Waliyyullah Muhaddis Dehlvi. In his book, "Ad Durrus Sameen", he says:

"My dear father, Hazrat Shah Abdur Raheem Dehlvi (may ALLAH have mercy on him) informed me that he used to get food cooked on Meelaad days as a mark of rejoicing for him (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam). One year it so happened that he could not afford anything except roasted grams, so he distributed those among the people, with the result that he had a vision of the holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) in his dream and saw that those roasted grams were lying before him (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) and he (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) looked pleased".  (Ad Durrus Sameen, Page 3)

Haji Imdadullah Sahib Muhajir Makki (may ALLAH have mercy on him)  says:

"The practice of this faqeer has been that I participate in Meelaad Shareef functions. In view of the fact that doing so brings blessings, I myself hold Meelaad every year, and find great solace and joy in Qiyaam (reciting salutations in a standing position)"....

Maulana Shaikh Abdul Haq Muhaddis Allahabaadi

 12. In the fourth chapter of his book "Ad Durrul Munazzam", Maulana Shaikh Abdul Haq Muhaddis Allahabaadi has recorded in detail incidents which manifested themselves at the time when the holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) was born. These include:

"A cluster of stars concentrated over the roof of his house at the time of the birth of the holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam); Angels hoisted flags on holy Baitul Laah and in the east and in the west; the whole atmosphere was filled with the voices of Angels and houries reciting salutations to him in the standing position and congratulating each other and rejoicing with abandon; animals also congratulated each other at the birth of the holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam), the Ka'batul Laah bowed in a manner of saluting, and the falsehood vanished and the light of truth spread light in all directions."

"He was a generous, mighty master, and glorious ruler, whose works were very good. He built Jamiya al Muzaffari near Qasiyun … During Rabi ul Awwal he used to celebrate Mawlid Shareef with great celebration, Moreover, he was benevolent, brave, wise, a scholar, and just person. Sheikh Abul Khattab wrote a book on Mawlid an-Nabwi for him and named it At-Tanwir fi Mawlid al Bashir al Nazeer, for which he gave him 1000 dinars. His rule stayed till the Rule of Salahiya and he captured Aka and he remained a man worthy of respect."

Al-Sabt mentions that a person attending the gathering of Mawlid held by Muzzafar said:"He used to fill the table with 5000 well cooked goats, 10,000 *****ens, 100-thousand bowls (of milk) and 30,000 trays of sweets." (Tarikh Ibn Kathir, Al Bidayah Wan Nihaya Volume 13, Page No. 174)

 Imam Shahab-ud-din Abul Abbas al-Qastalani

 21. Imam Shahab-ud-din Abul Abbas al-Qastalani (Rahimuhullah) said: When it is said that Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam) was born at night time then the question arises which of the two nights is greater i.e. Night of Decree or Night of Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam)'s birth? The Night of Prophet Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam birth is superior due to 3 reasons

First: He (Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam) arrived (in this world) on the Night of Mawlid whereas Night of decree was granted to him (afterwards), therefore the arrival of Prophet Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam is greater than what has been granted to him, hence night of Mawlid is higher in virtue.

Second: If Night of decree is vitreous night because Angels descend in it, then Night of Mawlid has the virtue of Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam) being sent to world. The Prophet Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam is superior to Angels, therefore night of Mawlid becomes superior.

Third: Due to night of decree, the Ummah of Muhammad (Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam) was given imminence, whereas due to Night of Mawlid all creations were given Fazilah, as Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam) is sent as Mercy to worlds/creations (Quran 21:107), hence the blessing was made general for all creations.

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad ( Sunni):  Izma of Hanafi, Shafie, Maliki and Hanbali Scholars :

Imam Jalal ud din Suyuti (Rahimuhullah)

 22. Imam Jalal ud din Suyuti (Rahimuhullah) writes: The reality of Mawlid is that people gather to recite Quran to the extent that is easy, also to discuss narrations which are regarding Prophet (Salallaho Alaihi wa Sallam), the signs which took place on his birth. Then dinning is arranged for them and they return without adding anything more to this "Bidat al Hasanah". The one who arranges it gets Thawab due to honoring Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam) and showing gratitude on his birth  [Al Hawi lil Fatawi, Volume 1, Page No. 292, Published by Maktaba al Asriya, Beirut, Lebanon]

Imam Jalal ud din Suyuti (Rahimuhullah) answers why celebrating on birth supercedes the sorrow of Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam) passing away on same date.  The birth of Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam) is a great blessing for us and his death is very saddening for us too, however Shariah has ordered us to rejoice and thank Allah on blessings, whereas on calamity it has taught us to have patience while hiding it, this is why Shariah has told us to do Aqiqa on birth which is a form of being happy and thankful to Allah for giving us birth, but on death there is no concept of sacrificing an animal and even lamenting is forbidden. Hence in light of rulings prescribed by shariah one should rejoice in Rabi ul Awwal on birth of our beloved Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam) ..[Al Hawi lil Fatawi, Volume 1, Page No. 298, Published by Maktaba al Asriya, Beirut, Lebanon]

 Imam Shams-ud-din Dimishqi

 24. Imam Shams-ud-din Dimishqi (Rahimuhullah) writes: It is proven that Abu Lahab's punishment of fire is reduced on every Monday because he rejoiced on brith of Prophet (Salallaho Alaihi wa Sallam) and freed the slave-woman Thawba Radi ALLAHu Ta'ala Anha When Abu Lahab, whose eternal abode is hell fire and regarding whom whole surah of Tabad Yada (i.e. Surah Lahab) was revealed, he gets Takhfif in his Adhaab every Monday then Imagine the situation of a (momin) who has spent his life in rejoicing over birth of Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam) and died as a Mawhid

 Shah Abdul Aziz Muhadith Dhelvi

 25. Shah Abdul Aziz Muhadith Dhelvi (Rahimuhullah) said: The Barakah of Rabi ul Awwal is due to birth of Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihi wa Sallam) in this month, the more this Ummah sends Darud and Salaam and arrange for (sadaqa for the poor), more will they be blessed  [Fatawa al Azizi, Vol 1, Page 123]

                   Hadrat Ismail Hiqqi

 26. The great Mufasir and Sufi, Hadrat Ismail Hiqqi (Rahimuhullah) said: To celebrate Mawlid is amongst the great tributes to Prophet (Salallaho Alaihi wa Sallam), but the condition is that it should be clear of evil things. Imam Suyuti has said: It is Mustahab for us to be happy on birth of Prophet (Salallaho Alaihi wa Sallam)  [Tafsir Ruh ul Bayan, Volume 9, Page No. 52]

 Imam Ibn Hajar al-Haytami al-Makki

 27. Shaykh al-Islam Imam Ibn Hajar al-Haytami al-Makki Radi ALLAHu Ta'ala Anho states in an-Ne’matul Kubra that Sayyiduna Junayd al-Baghdadi Radi ALLAHu Ta'ala Anho said, "Whoever attends a Milad gathering with full respect, his Imān will remain safe, InshaALLAH" (an-Ne’matul Kubra, Page 6, Istanbul - Turkey)

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad ( Sunni):  Even Salafi Grand Shaykhs permitted Miladunnabi : Even all the leading Salafi Imams and Scholars issued fatwa on the permissibility of Miladunnabi.

No. 1:  Shaikh ul-Islam of Salafis Ibn Taymiyya's Opinion on the Celebration of the Mawlid : This is Imam Ibn Taymiyya's opinion about Mawlid from: "the Collected Fatwas," ("Majma' Fatawi Ibn Taymiyya,") Vol. 23, p. 163: "fa-t'adheem al-Mawlid wat-tikhaadhuhu mawsiman qad yaf'alahu ba'ad an-naasi wa yakunu lahu feehi ajra `adheem lihusni qasdihi t'adheemihi li-Rasulillahi, salla-Allahu `alayhi wa sallam" . Translation : "To celebrate and to honor the birth of the Prophet (s) and to take it as an honored season, as some of the people are doing, is good and in it there is a great reward, because of their good intentions in honoring the Prophet (s)."

No.2 : Nawaab Siddeeq Hasan Bhopali is the Imam of the Salafis and their Shaikh-ul-Islam. His writing is now presented so that his followers can contemplate on their beliefs. He writes  in ‘Ash-Shamamatul Anbariya’:
“He who does not feel joy at the Meelad of the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam) and  does not show happiness at this gaining of mercy, then he is not a Muslim”. He continues to  write:
“What evil is there in the practice that if you cannot mention the Meelad every day, you do it once a month? On any particular day, sit down and do zikr or mention the Seerah or the birth  of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam). Also, do not leave the days of Rabi-ul- Awwal without this remembrance”.

Dear reader! The leader of the Wahabis, Siddeeq Hasan Bhopali has laid a fatwa of kufr on that person who does not show happiness at the Meelad. Now, the Wahabi and Deobandi  people can think for themselves about their belief in respect to Nawaab Siddeeq Hasan’s  evidence. ‘Ash-Shamamatul Anbariya’ is a book which has been certified by Molvi Ashraf  Ali Thanwi Deobandi.

No 3 : "Actually, celebrating the Prophet's birthday means celebrating the birth of Islam..."
 -- Shaykh Yusuf Al-Qardawi
Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, likely the most renowned Salafi scholar of the 20th century, in replying to the question on whether Mawlid should be celebrated replied:

We all know that the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not celebrate the Prophet's birthday, Hijrah or the Battle of Badr, because they witnessed such events during the lifetime of the Prophet who always remained in their hearts and minds.Sa`d Ibn Abi Waqqaas said that they were keen on telling their children the stories of the Prophet's battles just as they were keen on teaching them the Qur'an. Therefore, they used to remind their children of what happened during the Prophet's lifetime so they did not need to hold such celebrations. However, the following generations began to forget such a glorious history and its significance. So such celebrations were held as a means of reviving great events and the values that we can learn from them.
Unfortunately, such celebrations include some innovations when they should actually be made to remind people of the Prophet's life and his call. Actually, celebrating the Prophet's birthday means celebrating the birth of Islam. Such an occasion is meant to remind people of how the Prophet lived.  Allah Almighty says: "Verily in the Messenger of Allah ye have a good example for him who looketh unto Allah and the last Day, and remembereth Allah much." (Al-Ahzab: 21)  By celebrating the Prophet's Hijrah, we should teach them values such as sacrifice, the sacrifice of the Companions, the sacrifice of `Ali who slept in the Prophet's place on the night of the Hijrah, the sacrifice of Asmaa' as she ascended the Mountain of Thawr. We should teach them to plan the way the Prophet planned for his Hijrah, and how to trust in Allah as the Prophet did when Abu Bakr told him: "We could be seen so easily, the Prophet replied saying: "O Abu Bakr! What do you think of two when Allah is their third?" "Have no fear, for Allah is with us." (At-Tawbah: 40)
We need all these lessons and such celebrations are a revival of these lessons and values. I think that these celebrations, if done in the proper way, will serve a great purpose, getting Muslims closer to the teachings of Islam and to the Prophet's Sunnah and life.
As for celebrating `Ashooraa', the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, celebrated this day by fasting only. He asked the Jews why they fasted on that day and they told him that it was the day that Allah saved Moses and the people of Israel. The Prophet replied saying: "We have more of a right to Moses than you." So he fasted on that day and ordered the people to fast on that day. He also said near the end of his life: "By Allah, if I lived longer I would fast on the 9th of Muharram." That is, that he would fast on the 9th and the 10th in order to be different from the Jews who fast on the 10th only. However, some of the Sunnis celebrate `Ashura as if it were a feast. The Shi`ah consider it a day of sadness and mourning, but all such things are innovations and are completely un-Islamic.
As for the second part of the question [what is exact birth date of the Prophet (s)], the exact date of the Prophet's birth is disputed , but it is most likely to be on Monday, 9th Rabee`Al-Awwal (20th or 22nd of April, 571 AC), the same year in which the invasion of the Elephants took place against the Ka`bah. And he, peace and blessings be upon him, passed away on Monday 12, Rabee` Al-Awwal in the eleventh year of Hijrah (8 June 632 AC.)
 Allah Almighty knows best.

Salafi Bidah No. 11: Saudi Arabia does celebrate Youm-ul-Watani (National Day of Saudi Arabia). Television stations telecast special programs and newspapers print special editions and private companies give their employees a day off. I have never seen any Saudi scholar’s fatwa against the celebration of Saudi National Day. But they are very quick in giving Fatwa against Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi. Did Prophet (Peace be upon him) OR his companions (May Allah be pleased with them) ever celebrated the establishment of the Islamic state of Madinah? Saudi scholars, who oppose the celebration of Prophet’s birthday, gave Fatwa for justifying US troops in Saudi Arabia but they can not issue a Fatwa against the Bid’a that is committed by their own government and by them. That is a real distortion of Islam. "

Remark :  This debate is complete now. Having failed to respond in this juncture, extremists banned Maulana Abul Kalam Azad from the forum. Abdul Karimulla Shariff, Director of Correct Islamic Islamic Faith International Association, reports that , later one of their Admins admitted the permissibility of Eide Miladunnabi and said, "The celebration of the birthday of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is an issue of controversy amongst the scholars. Thus, there were some who considered it a disliked innovation, a few even saying it reached the level of prohibition, and there were others who considered it a praiseworthy innovation......we can chose to follow one scholar's opinion and then we should not interfere with people who chose to follow any other scholar.' Dear Readers!  This bitter and reluctant admission  is another hypocricy and lie on the part of Kharizis. There is no controversy at all on this issue. Only an artificial controversy have been built by the extremists in order to mislead the simple-minded youths. Even the Salafi Grand-Shaykhs like Imam Ibn taimiya, Nawab siddique Hasan Khan Bhupali, Shaykh Yusuf Al-Qardawi etc have admitted the permissibility of eid Miladunnabi as we have provided ample evidences throughout the debate.. Even Zakir Naik’s Guru Shaikh Ahmed Deedat has admitted its permissibility. If Eid Miladunnabi is deemed as Shirk or Bidah, Salafis themselves will prove to be the greatest bidati and Mushrik ever!

May Allah Almighty guide us along the Seeratwal Mustaqeem. ameen. Wa Maa Alaina Illal balagh.
