Reply To Zakir Naik's Lie --“ Quran Says, Even If Three Talaqs Are Given Together, It’ll Be One Talaq”

                   In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful. All Praise is due to Allah The Most High. Peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wa sallam, his family and  his companions.

                              Brother Zakir Naik !  In an attempt to defend the Salafi  viewpoint on Talaq, you said that : “ Quran Says, Even If Three Talaqs Are Given Together, It’ll Be One Talaq”(Quran kahta hain ki tin talaq ek sath me bhi denge to ek hi hota hain.”) . My respected brother! Let me make it clear that here the basic issue is not who is right and who is wrong on the subject Triple-Talaq, more specifically whether Ahle Sunnah viewpoint is correct or Salafi viewpoint is correct. Here the basic issue is the authenticity of your claim that “ Quran Says, Even If Three Talaqs Are Given Together, It’ll Be One Talaq”(Quran kahta hain ki tin talaq ek sath me bhi denge to ek hi hota hain.”) .

                Brother Zakir Naik !   This is very very crucial. If indeed Quran says such thing that “if triple Talaqs are given together , it turns out to be only one talaq", each and every Muslim are bound to accept it. When I first listened to your speech, I was startled. I could not believe my ears and my eyes. Brother ! We want to learn truth.  Kindly provide the reference. In which verse / verses of Al Quran it is mentioned that “if triple Talaqs are given together , it turns out to be only one talaq"( “ tin talaq ek sath me bhi denge to ek hi hota hain.”) ??? We promise , if you can provide the reference, we will instantly  accept your view. But if  you  cannot  provide the reference, you should repent immediately to Allah Subhanahu Taala  for attributing lie to Him . My dear brother! This is crime. A heinous crime. Denial and misrepresentation of Quranic verses and Ahadith takes a person out of Islam.  Brother Zakir Naik !  Allah, the Most High, says, "On the Day of Judgement will thou see those who told lies against Allah;- their faces will be turned black: is there not in Hell an abode for the Haughty?" (Az-Zummar: 60).

                   Brother Zakir Naik !   Let us go through your original urdu speech carefully: “Aapsos ki bat ae hai ki jo ekhtilaf ummat mae hain us ki ek baza hai. Ek sahih hadith hain IbnAbbas RadhiAllahu Ta’la Anhu, o farmate hain ki mohammad sallallahu Alaihi Wa sallam ki daur me tin talaq ek hi mane ja tit hi. Hazrat Abu Bakr ki daur me tin talaq ek hi mane jate thi. Hazrat omar ki pahli do sal ki daur me tin talaq ek hi mane jate thi lekin us ke bad Hazrat Umar RadhiAllahu Tala anhu us situation ko dekh keoh kahe ki agar koi saksh tin de diya to tin ho jati hain” . Iss hadith ki baje se zo ikhtilaf ummat main hain or kai ulema main hain…….Quran kahta hain ki tin talaq ek sath me bhi denge to ek hi hota hain. Mohammad Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam ke waqt me tin bhi ek sath me diya to ek hi hota tha. Hazrat abu Bakr ka time me bhi  Tin talaq ek hi hota tha. HAZRAT Umar ki daur me log zo kahta hain ki tin talaq tin hoti hai……is me ummat ka ikhtilaf hai. Lekin Agar Quran ki rousni me dekhenge to tin talaq ek sath me bhi denge to ek hi hota hain. Hazrat Umar ki daur me RadhiAllahu Tala anh, Umar eh kahte the ki, ham un se kah nahi sakte ki o galad hain, lekin ulema eh kahti hai missal ki taur par Ibn Taimiya shaykh Ibn taimiya, o kahte hai, eh ai Hazrat Umar May Allah be pleased with him RadhiAllahu Tala Anhu, O Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa sallam ne jo kaha uske upar nahi hain. Isi liya hame bat man na chahiye Quran or Allah ki Rasool ki. Is ke ander Hazrat Umar may Allah be pleased with him Radhi Allahu Taala Anhu unohne ruzu kiya.      A Fair Discussion to clear the Misconception on Triple Talaq:  Triple talaq i.e.  pronouncing  thrice in one sitting "I divorce you, I divorce you, I divorce you” is sinful form of Divorce.  Hanafi School of Thought is of the view   that though this form of divorce is sinful, it is nevertheless valid and divorce will take place. As a consequence, The wife will be haram for the husband.  Neither can he take her back nor can he go for fresh nikah with her. He can go for nikah with her only after she marries another person and that person divorces her on account of marital conflict or she becomes a widow.  To clear the misconception, I am presenting below Quotations from tafsir Mareful Quran which  Salafis themselves endorsed and  Saudi Salafi Govt. once distributed it among the Muslims  :  "[ Please See the book from which this article is taken ]"

                        

                         Brother Zakir Naik ! It’s shocking that Followers of Ibn Taimiya are trying to toy with Shariah and are not even hesitating to challenge the authority of Hazrat Umar Faruk RadhiAllahu Anhu .  You yourself preferred the view of Ibn Taimiya over Second Khalifa Hazrat Umar Faruq saying : “Hazrat Umar ki daur me RadhiAllahu Tala anh, Umar eh kahte the ki, ham un se kah nahi sakte ki o galad hain, lekin ulema eh kahti hai missal ki taur par Ibn Taimiya shaykh Ibn taimiya, o kahte hai, eh ai Hazrat Umar May Allah be pleased with him RadhiAllahu Tala Anhu, O Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa sallam ne jo kaha uske upar nahi hain. Isi liya hame bat man na chahiye Quran or Allah ki Rasool ki.” Allahu Akbar ! Only Ibn Taimiya and his followers understood Quran and Hadeeth ?  Umar Faruq did not read Quran and Hadeeth ( NauzoobiAllah Min Zalik) ? You say, “Is me Ummat ki Ikhtilaf isi liya hain ki ham na Quran parah nahi….” Allahu Akbar ! Hazrat Umar Faruq did not read Quran and that’s why he created ikhtilaf among Muslim Ummah by establishing the ruling of triple talaq? A gentleman named SHAMS PIRZADA, another hardcore follower of Ibn Taimiya, tries to deny the authority of Sahabas and establish the view of Ibn Taimiya  He writes : “These fatwaas of the Sahaabaa are based on ijtihad (diligence). They had done the ijtihad looking to the circumstances of their time when the society had not deteriorated much. But thereafter, when the corruption increased it became necessary to rethink over it. So scholars like Allamah lbn e Taimiyyah gave a thought to such things in the light of the Quran and the Sunnah. The condition of our society today is well known to all. The current condition of Muslims requires that this problem should be analysed with deep research. People should not be allowed to make divorce a game and thus put the woman folk into extraordinary troubles.” [Triple Talaq - In The Light of Quran and Sunnah BY SHAMS PIRZADA Page 15]. This follower of Ibn Taimiya even does not hesitate to refuse the Sahih Hadith of sahih Muslim and even to  challenge the Quran itself claiming that polygamy permitted by Islam should be banned. He writes:

  “But the question, which arises here, is that can anybody make any change in a shariat law by way of punishment? If Umar could enforce triple talaq which was considered as only one, in the time of the prophet and the first caliph Abu Bakr as a final and irrevocable divorce then why is it not permissible for a Muslim government, in view of circum stances, to ban polygamy or, for public benefit, transfer the right to divorce from a husband to a court of law? If no shariat law can be changed even in the interest of the people then it must also be conceded that caliph Umar too, who was a Khalifa e Raashid (a rightly-guided/wise caliph) too never enforced such a law and therefore, this narration (of the hadeeth) is such an allegation against Umar for which no cause can be mentioned correctly. Therefore, it cannot be a hujjat (decisive proof).” [Triple Talaq - In The Light of Quran and Sunnah BY SHAMS PIRZADA,  Page11].  Allahu Akbar ! This devoted follower of Ibn Taimiya refuses both Sahih Hadith and Al Quran and still claim to be called  Ahle Hadith or Ahle Sahih Hadith or Ahle Quran! May Allah save Muslim Ummah from these Bidatis!

              Brother Zakir Naik ! If indeed you are well-wisher of Muslim Ummah, you will  provide reference in support of your bold claim that, “ Quran Says, Even If Three Talaqs Are Given Together, It’ll Be One Talaq” (Quran kahta hain ki tin talaq ek sath me bhi denge to ek hi hota hain.). We will wait for your response thirstily. Please no logic ! No argument! No Quarrelling! Only reference, my dear brother. Allah says: Say: ‘People who invent lies against Allah will not be successful.’ (Qur'an 10:69). Al Quran instructs : “...Say, ‘Produce your evidence if you are telling the truth.’ (Qur'an 2:111)

                      Ya Allah!  Guide us along the straight path, The path of those whom You have favoured ;  Not of those who have earned Your anger and nor of those who have gone astray. Wa Ma Alaina Illal Balag.
